i scream for ice cream…

Day 30 – What Is Your Favorite Ice Cream Flavor.

Ice_Cream_dessert_02Today’s 31 Day Blog Challenge Topic is to name your favorite flavor of ice cream.  Well, I have never been much of an ice cream person – I really haven’t had much of a sweet tooth since I was a kid, so I don’t have a favorite ice cream flavor.

But as I’ve gotten older, I am discovering a little more appeal in some sweet things.  I love my protein banana cookies and protein banana bread, for example, which are either reliant entirely on bananas for the ‘sweet’, or on agave nectar and stevia.  I love my protein shakes, so that’s kind of like a milkshake, right? 🙂

I do have a nightly treat that I really enjoy, which could be considered ice cream-ish. 😉

Every night, my final meal (I shoot for five to six small meals a day – one meal every three to four hours) is Greek Yogurt, to which I add some protein powder, stevia, cinnamon, nutmeg and a dash of lemon juice – so it tastes like a Key Lime Dessert!!! (To me anyway LOL)  🙂

Its yummy, healthy, filling and satisfies an urge for something sweet.  Its just one of the things that helps me stay on track with my health and fitness goals, while still staying stocked up on the nutrients my body needs to be healthy and burn fat – and not feel deprived.  My family will tell you I scrape my bowl of yogurt clean – I love it! LOL

If you have a sweet tooth and still want to achieve your weight loss and fitness goals, I do recommend that you check out my trainer/mentor, Michelle Marie Diaz.  Her blog, website and Pinterest boards share some awesome treats and snacks that are completely healthy and will help you reach your goals.

If you commit to planning, preparing and making the time to cook and prepare your meals and snacks, it really is super achievable to lose weight, keep it off and be in your best health – and, I promise you will enjoy what you eat.

So, to leave you with a little sumpn-sumpn, here is my Protein Banana Cookie Recipe.  It’s super easy and really, really good.  Satisfy your sweet tooth with this super easy, super healthy snack!  Two of these cookies make a perfect mid-morning snack or second meal!

You can thank me later.  😉
